The Late Sooner by Sally Jadlow is one of the first novels I bought for Kindle — while I was still using Kindle-PC app. I just got around to reading it on the Kindle Fire and I really enjoyed it. The book was inspired by a journal/diary kept by one of Jadlow’s ancestors about settlement in the Oklahoma territory when it was first opened to homesteaders.
A recommended read — won’t take you a real long time. Read it to honor those who built the neighborhood for us today. Sweat drop by blood drop. Then, we can all cut back on the whining. 😉 The link is for a Kindle edition — only $2.99. A bargain book that you can let your grandkids find and read. They will learn something valuable; their vocabulary and morals won’t be corrupted.
