A popular author featuring western mystery series at CJBox.net — C.J. has given readers a ring-tailed, switcheroo, crow-hopping story in Pronghorns of the Third Reich.
C.J. is always easy reading — good pleasure books that you can finish fairly quickly and not go away with bad dreams. But, “Pronghorns” takes some different turns in the short space that it occupies, utilizing factual historical material and a very likely life experience story. I wish it were longer, but I always want more for my money! Another facet of the literary art of this story lies in getting everything wrapped up in a shiny Box — pun intended. Because of that art, I would probably pay $1.99 again for a Kindle Book that I usually pay 99 cents for. It is that much art!
Spend a few snowy hours in the western realm of Wyoming among the learned and professional, the tricky and survival oriented, but not very good criminal element with the drama of weather and nature as the Pronghorns insert themselves into the picture often. The hours will be fictional — you can read this pretty quickly, but you will travel through these few hours in the story. While the SEO advisor, Scribe (see link below) is saying to write more, I can’t bring myself to tell you more because I don’t want to spoil the literary art experience for you! Just try to believe me when I tell you that the characters are well-formed while the setting is very well-formed — you can feel the aching cold wind and blowing snow. You KNOW the stress of the snowy Pronghorn antelopes trying to find their way in bad weather. Give yourself a break from the holiday rat race and read a good story.
Now, C.J. Box, do it again!
