My name is JudyAnn and I live on a small ‘island’ of land near Mansfield, Missouri, right at the Crossroads of the Ozarks and of two major highways — US hwy 60 and Missouri hwy 5. This website will be highly weighted toward the events and activities surrounding the Laura Ingalls Wilder Historic Homes and Museum because that is a particular interest of mine.
Other focus will be regional Ozarks topics and reviews of books I’ve enjoyed, particularly those written by Ozarks authors. Ozarks Mystique has a rather eclectic range for the review topics because I review business books at BarJD.com or RedLeafProfessionals.com and inspirational, uplifting books with a Christian lean at Cardinal Bluff.com with cookbooks and gardening books plus gardening chatter at TheLegacyGardens.com. All things Writing can show up at RedLeafProfessionals.com while WordPress topics can be found at TheWordPressWhisperer.BarJD.com
I’m joined on this little spot in the Ozarks by my husband, chocolate lab, Brownie, several cats, some chickens and a couple horses.
Virtual life has been a passion since 2003 — I work with Bar JD Communications in online projects with some literal desktop publishing items when there is a market. If you love WordPress, we have a lot to talk about! If you love Laura Ingalls Wilder, the Little House books, the Laura Ingalls Wilder Homes and Museum near Mansfield at the site of Laura and Almanzo’s farm, Rocky Ridge Farm, we have even more to talk about.
If you are enthusiastic about the plans for restoring the farm — currently, we see samples of Laura’s garden and chicken house (with chickens) — then we have plenty to talk about. You may see me around blogging and posting about the fundraising activities that are ongoing because it takes $$$$$ to build substantial new buildings and maintain the lovely homes and treasured items that have been kept for future generations.
I embraced blogging early on and have made more blogs than I can remember. Much of it was not profound writing and has gone by the wayside. Every website that I keep has a blog so that I can write a message to readers about things I’ve found that I believe are of interest.
