‘Way up north, there is a generous doctor who has done a lot of foreign mission work and serves in local needy care clinics in the Indianapolis area. In addition, he’s making extra gifts to his patients and to needy patients with no insurance or way to pay for foot care. I’m writing about Dr. Patrick DeHeer, DPM, owner of Hoosier Foot and Ankle, LLC.
His patients are invited to share their experiences at the five clinic locations he has in the Indianapolis, Indiana area to offer patients convenience. Dr DeHeer has a place at the Hoosier Foot and Ankle website where the patients can give the experience, good or bad, so that the staff and the Doctor can learn even more ways to provide good patient and customer care. When patients share their experience, their name will be entered into a drawing for a Nook Tablet reader. Only the first 25 entries will be considered.
Dr. DeHeer is concerned about the people in his community who seriously need foot care, but have no insurance or funds to pay for extended treatment. His practice is teaming with Sycamore Surgery Center to provide care for one needy person at no charge; that person will be selected by Dr. DeHeer’s patients. The needy patients are asked to submit their story (or someone who knows a person in need may submit the story). The patients at Dr. DeHeer’s clinic will read the anonymous stories and vote for the one they see as being the most deserving.
There are good people out there in our country who think of others and help where they can. People who actually get pretty inventive to reach the obscure needy person. People who build a business on good customer care. I commend Dr. DeHeer on his generosity and dedication to his patients and community.
