Your gifts and donations will help with repair and restoration of the Walking Path between the Farm House and the Rock House. As we’ve mentioned before, the path was cleared several years ago, but we’ve had to close it because of washouts and other maintenance problems. Gifts that add up to $100,000 can get the washouts fixed and some nice white limestone spread on the path — the views from the bench will be special in all directions! With your help, we can get the repairs done in time for the summer of 2015.
Every time a donation is made, the giver receives the new ebook, “Just A Bit About Laura”. This ebook was complied exclusively as a gift to you when you help. YES, I want to help!
CLOSED FOR THE SEASON! That’s sort of right — the shorter, darker, colder weather is a time when more people are planning their visit to Laura Ingalls Wilder Historic Homes and Museum when spring rolls around.
CLOSED doesn’t mean that everything is locked down while the staff and volunteers stay home and eat bonbons! Not for one little minute Yes, the tours are on hold for the winter weather. But there is a lot of work going on. Fortunately for readers and those who love Laura, the online gift shop is OPEN; books, post cards, and gifts can be ordered.
When we all pull together, it means little things can make a powerful difference. All of the $5 gifts can add up to the amount needed to get that Walking Path ready! Think of it as Five For Laura! And remember, when you make a donation, you will receive your FREE ebook.
The 2015 spring opening will be here before we know it! Let’s get busy!
