Thank you for your contribution to Laura Ingalls Wilder Historic Homes and Museum. We’ve recently added an ebook gift for everyone who makes a donation and leaves an email address. This post is an effort to connect with earlier people who gave. If your gift was made before 12/01/14, we don’t have an email address on file for you. We need that email so we can send you a link to our appreciation gift to you, an ebook “Just A Bit About Laura”.
You can leave your email address for us by completing the form and clicking on the follow-up confirmation email from us. If you add your ‘snail mail’ address in the form, you will also receive a souvenir post card. Your information will be kept private.
Laura’s home has been kept exactly as it was when she was living in the Farm House at Rocky Ridge Farm. There are many sweet specialties in the home that were engineered by Almanzo Wilder for the convenience of his wife, Laura. The cleverly designed farm house was established and a busy place before Laura began to write the famous and favorite stories such as Little House on the Prairie which are autobiographical about Laura’s life as a child in a pioneer family settling in the Great Plains of America during the 1800s.
Laura, Almanzo, and Rose had a walking path between the Farm House and the Rock House which is in need of repair so visitors can walk along the path. Improving the path is one of the goals for gifts.
Thank you again for your help. We hope you enjoy your premium as much as we enjoyed putting it together for you.
